Welcome to Bods

BODS is a Sydney based social golf club that was started to enable a few mates to have an opportunity to catch up for a regular beer and a game of golf. We play at different courses each month and have events and formats that give everyone an opportunity to win. 

The club owes much of it's success and longevity to Scott (The Dog) Muir, who put in countless hours of his own time to get the idea off the ground and give it the momentum over the  last 22 years and counting. Scott was elected as a Life Member in December 2019.

Membership has surged in the last few years and as at March 2025 we have 27 paid members and only 5 unfinancial.

Membership limit will be set at 32 for 2025 so there are no spotsd available

We ask all unfinancial players to pay up front at the next game of the year that you play.

BODS THRASHES NOONANS TO RETAIN NODS CUP.

CHENEY EDGES OUT CHIPPY TO WIN BODS TITLE.

Well we had indifferent weather, very late withdrawals and a late arrival but 14 Bods and 12 Noonans turned up to play in the annual NODS Cup.

Bods won 5-1 in a new format suggested by Noonans to retain the cup.

This will unfotunately be the last NODS cup as Noonans has decidced not join us next year as they are looking to play more games and don;t have room to fit this match in their schedule.

Would like to thank them for the last 7 years and especially Adam Lo Castro and Jamie Chaytor who worked with me over the years.

So lets get to the Bods results well done to Darren Cheney who had a big score of 43 points which is a Bods record for Hurstville. Special mention to chippy who had a outstanding 42 points with a 4 a 5 on the last hole.

Congrats to Gareth Mackinnon who just avoided winning the wig for a 3rd straight time. The wig went to Horrie who arrived last and came last.

Special thanks to all that helped me out especially our Vice President JB who did MC duties and he tells me he went well and has a few ideas to improve it.That does not surprise me at all.

 

The captain Jason Schweizer missing again today sore knee this time we suggest he needs a body scan.

For the other late withdrawals parties and avoiding the rain were common.

No fines today but will be back in play at Massey Park.

We will fine the Smith brothers both handbraked with 34 points there must haver been a bargain on handbrake oil at Bunnings.

Bods Tour is only 5 months away and we are looking to see if anyone else wants to come as we have an ex  foundation player wanting to come so we will expand to 20 if anyone interested please let me know to add you to our numbers.

Only had 1 player Matt Spalding interested in a new shirt we need 10 as a minimum order please let me know if interested. 

All is still not well with the world today as Josh Peterson who deserted us to play for Noonans has now gone 4 months without a  nearest the pin a mental health check will definitely be required if this continues.

Membership is Closed for 2025

We have 31 members for season 2025 so unfortunately at this stage we are closing our membership for this year.

We play 12 times a year on Sunday mornings and a weekend tour away in 11-12 October 2025.

The social club is based in Sydney and games take place at various courses around the Sydney suburbs.  

We have bookings for 20 or 24 players. 

Players from the last game get first preference but they still must RSVP as normal. All others still need to RSVP once the invite comes out. There are no verbals to the Dog I have a terrible memory.
