Welcome to Bods

BODS is a Sydney based social golf club that was started to enable a few mates to have an opportunity to catch up for a regular beer and a game of golf. We play at different courses each month and have events and formats that give everyone an opportunity to win. 

The club owes much of it's success and longevity to Scott (The Dog) Muir, who put in countless hours of his own time to get the idea off the ground and give it the momentum over the  last 22 years and counting. Scott was elected as a Life Member in December 2019.

Membership has surged in the last few years and as at March 2025 we have 27 paid members and only 5 unfinancial.

Membership limit will be set at 32 for 2025 so there are no spots available.

We ask all unfinancial players to pay up front at the next game of the year that you play.

GARY JEFFERY IN HOT FORM WINS DAY AND 2 BALL CHAMPIONSHIP.

Well small field due to early start time, bad backs,broken ovens and those hiding to protect handicap before Bods Tour.

Course was as tough as usual but Gary Jeffery was in hot form with a 42 stableford points but will have him under pressure as he  heads to the tour in 3 weeks.

With Josh Peterson had a massive 48 points for both of them to win there 2nd 2 Ball title but there first as a team.

2nd place was the team of Cheney and Hooton who beat Smith Incorporated on a countback.

Was a bad day for the CEO as Dog came last in both as an individual and in the 2 ball with Brett White. For alongtime there was a chance that Kerry Kermacks longtime record of 10 points could be beat but luckily not to be.

Impressed with the bistro at Stonecutters and the food experts rate it highly. We may run a poll on the facebook page to find out the best bistro feed.

Well we only have 3 more events to the end of year and Darren Cheney leads the point score but some are coming fast for a good finish.

Well we have only 3 weeks to the Bods Tour and players are getting excited with Tyrone Ford asking for a training camp so he is prepared for the weekend.

All the details for the Bods Tour will be in the Bods Guide that will be out soon. For those not going we will put a copy on the website so you can see what you are missing out on.

For those going on tour we do need to get your last $100 Please send to Mick Smith asap-BSB 923100 and ACCT NO 49405558 and let Mick and myself know by email.

Chris Smith has held the Bods ranking for the 7th month in a row and has increased his lead which is amazing as his handicao has blown out to 21 from 16 Must be handbrake oil involved.

The fines today was if you left a ball in the bunker and while Tyrone avoided this he still donated as he did not want to be left out.

No John Bruker this month as he went on a bucks weekend in QLD instead of defending his 2 ball title with Tyrone.

 

Next game is at Fox Hills on 19 October 2025 7.03am start- Life Members Trophy Day- Stableford/2 Ball Multiplier and includes Skins and Survivor. Partners will be selected by CEO.

Membership is Closed for 2025

We have 32 members for season 2025 so unfortunately at this stage we are closing our membership for this year.

We play 12 times a year on Sunday mornings and a weekend tour away in 11-12 October 2025.

The social club is based in Sydney and games take place at various courses around the Sydney suburbs.  

We have bookings for 20 or 24 players. 

Players from the last game get first preference but they still must RSVP as normal. All others still need to RSVP once the invite comes out. There are no verbals to the Dog I have a terrible memory.
