Welcome to Bods

BODS is a Sydney based social golf club that was started to enable a few mates to have an opportunity to catch up for a regular beer and a game of golf. We play at different courses each month and have events and formats that give everyone an opportunity to win. 

The club owes much of it's success and longevity to Scott (The Dog) Muir, who put in countless hours of his own time to get the idea off the ground and give it the momentum over the  last 22 years and counting. Scott was elected as a Life Member in December 2019.

Membership has surged in the last few years and as at 2026 we have 29 members.

Membership limit will be set at 32 for 2026 so there 3 spots available.

28 players are already financial for 2026.

SCORECARD ERRORS ROCKS 2BALL CHAMPIONSHIPS.

Well to the sub committee and others yes you Scotty McCulloch that dont need me running things well guess what that is incorrect.

after getting home after a triple bypass i thought i had to take things slow that meant no scotch. i thought thats ok i will take it slow. then i looked at the scorecards.

Ambulance was on redial ready to go as i looked at one card Mick Smith and Nathan Barry. OH MY GOD. At least the fines kitty will increase.

There are changes at the top and the bottom of the field results so you better all go to results page for June to see the changes.

 

Congratulations to the winners after corrrect weight- Nathan Barry and Michael Smith- nathan doing very well in his Bods career and Mick won his 5th BODS major even if he cant mark scorecards. 

Apologies to George EL Amal and Matt Spalding who were declared provisional winners on sunday but had a very good 45points with George getting a 5 pointer watch out for these 2 next year.

Even the battle for the wig had drama - The Prince scorecard was wrong and he went from last to 6th. and this means a new wig winner which on a countback is Gary Jeffery sorry GAZ but you do get 2 shots back.

Last month i talked about George El Amal  that is correct.possibly getting 2 nearest the pins for the first time and i can confirm that is correct. Brett white on sunday  GOT 2 NTPS for 3rd time but dont get too excited as Josh peterson has done it 21 times and all is well with the world.

 

 

A big question is Where is Mini Slip? still- Chris Smith supposedly injured his shoulder i recovered from my leg amputation quicker and probably be back from the heart bypass as well.

Also rsvp has gone out for BODS TOUR 10-11 October 2026 get the date on the fridge to stop the wives from double booking.We have 17 for the tour Anyone else more than welcome to join us.

as you know i went in for a check up on the monday after Hurstville and ended up witha triple bypass.

Out of hospital getting faster and will be back by September thanks for all the well wishers even from the sub committee who failed to step up again

We have 29 members paid up for season 2026 so we have only 3 membership spots available.

We play 12 times a year on Sunday mornings and a weekend tour away on 10-11 October 2026

The social club is based in Sydney and games take place at various courses around the Sydney suburbs.  

We have bookings for 20 or 24 players. 

Players from the last game get first preference but they still must RSVP as normal. All others still need to RSVP once the invite comes out. There are no verbals to the Dog I have a terrible memory.

We also have a Whatsapp group and Facebook page that provides plenty of fun.
