Welcome to Bods

BODS is a Sydney based social golf club that was started to enable a few mates to have an opportunity to catch up for a regular beer and a game of golf. We play at different courses each month and have events and formats that give everyone an opportunity to win. 

The club owes much of it's success and longevity to Scott (The Dog) Muir, who put in countless hours of his own time to get the idea off the ground and give it the momentum over the  last 22 years and counting. Scott was elected as a Life Member in December 2019.

Membership has surged in the last few years and as at 2026 we have 29 members.

Membership limit will be set at 32 for 2026 so there 3 spots available.

28 players are already financial for 2026.

BIG LOUIE WINS AGAIN THIS YEAR IN COUNTBACK.

 

Some good scores yesterday with a small field on a good course at Camden but Big Louie able to beat George on a countback. His form does not bode well for his chances on tour suggest he packs plenty of red wine.

Congrats to Victor Mourinho who won the match play final over Mick Smith it was closer than reported with Victor winning only 2 up . Tyrones s as match referee are numbered.Well done Victor winning your first Bods major i asm sure there will be more to come.

 

A new committee was formed yesterday The Bod s cripple players lunch club with myself  and Darren Cheney bringing the ladies out for lunch with so many out at the moment this could outgrow the sub committee very quickly.

A big question is Where is Mini Slip? continues still- Chris Smith supposedly injured his shoulder.we forgive you come back.

Also start saving money for BODS TOUR 10-11 October 2026 get the date on the fridge to stop wives from double booking.We have 17 for the tour Anyone else more than welcome to join us.

 Next game is at Cabramatta but we are booked for 20 so get in early and put your name down.

Membership for 2026

We have 29 members paid up for season 2026 so we have only 3 membership spots available.

We play 12 times a year on Sunday mornings and a weekend tour away on 10-11 October 2026

The social club is based in Sydney and games take place at various courses around the Sydney suburbs.  

We have bookings for 20 or 24 players. 

Players from the last game get first preference but they still must RSVP as normal. All others still need to RSVP once the invite comes out. There are no verbals to the Dog I have a terrible memory.

We also have a Whatsapp group and Facebook page that provides plenty of fun.
