About Us
Welcome to Bods
BODS is a Sydney based social golf club that was started to enable a few mates to have an opportunity to catch up for a regular beer and a game of golf. We play at different courses each month and have events and formats that give everyone an opportunity to win.
The club owes much of it's success and longevity to Scott (The Dog) Muir, who put in countless hours of his own time to get the idea off the ground and give it the momentum over the last 22 years and counting. Scott was elected as a Life Member in December 2019.
Membership has surged in the last few years and as at March 2025 we have 27 paid members and only 5 unfinancial.
Membership limit will be set at 32 for 2025 so there are no spotsd available
We ask all unfinancial players to pay up front at the next game of the year that you play.
Read below to understand how it all began.
22 June 2025 Massey Park
The Professor wins first Bods Title.
Well it was great to see a newer member Matt Spalding break through for his first win with abig field of 21 players and 8 players breaking their handicap.
It would have been 22 players but Darren Shields was unable to make it we do hope to get the photo evidence on the website to prove he has massive problems. He will be fined at his next game.
Some great scores from others who would have won on any other day but could not match the professor.
Well done to the 2 Match play winners Chris Smith and Brian McCulloch who had wins today.Chris Smith will be playing in his 7th Match Play final. Best of luck to both.
Well our Mental Health player of the day has to be Gary Jeffery who copped 2 penalties due to hitting wrong balls even though the word Gaz was on the ball. Ther question is did he think he was some one else / Stay tuned for next month to see what he writes.
John Bruker The ideas man also got fined today as he tried to break into Concord Golf club and the Ideas man thought i did not give a pass to get into the course.I try to keep things simple John.
Well done to Gareth McKinnon who won his 3rd Wig in 4 games. Maybe his new nickname can be wiggy.
Need to remind people of what the A grade and B Grade handicaps are as we had issues of longest drives people not sure what grade they are in. We will enforce it on the pin sheets next week.
Bods Tour is only 4 months away and we arestill looking to see if anyone else wants to come as we have an ex foundation player wanting to come so we will expand to 18 if anyone interested please let me know to add you to our numbers but we need to know now.
All is still not well with the world today as Josh Peterson was unable to play as he was sick this week he has now gone 5 months without a nearest the pin.
Great news we have now had 29 members pay fees which is making us very healthy and even better our new segment Fine time is very popular we now have $113.00 we are now getting players nominating others to be fined.
Next game in 2025 is at Camden- on 22 June 2025- 6.45 - Stableford- We have only 20 spots so get in early.

We play 12 times a year on Sunday mornings and a weekend tour away in 11-12 October 2025.
The social club is based in Sydney and games take place at various courses around the Sydney suburbs.

Players from the last game get first preference but they still must RSVP as normal. All others still need to RSVP once the invite comes out. There are no verbals to the Dog I have a terrible memory.
