About Us
Welcome to Bods
BODS is a Sydney based social golf club that was started to enable a few mates to have an opportunity to catch up for a regular beer and a game of golf. We play at different courses each month and have events and formats that give everyone an opportunity to win.
The club owes much of it's success and longevity to Scott (The Dog) Muir, who put in countless hours of his own time to get the idea off the ground and give it the momentum over the last 22 years and counting. Scott was elected as a Life Member in December 2019.
Membership has surged in the last few years and as at March 2025 we have 27 paid members and only 5 unfinancial.
Membership limit will be set at 32 for 2025 so there are no spotsd available
We ask all unfinancial players to pay up front at the next game of the year that you play.
Read below to understand how it all began.
16 March 2025- Brighton Lakes
Bods breaks club attendance record again.
Victor the Inflictor wins first Bods game.
Life at Bods is very well with another attendance record with 23 playing. Not sure where Dave Ralph is he may not have a passport to leave the Gong.
Congrats to Victor the inflictor Mourinho who won his first Bods event and good news for me as he loses 5 shots before the next round of the Match play.
If you have looked at the results page for today you will have noticed there changes to the results announced at the course. We had 6 incorrect scores and all up i have 15 players to fine at next game. The following are on the naughty list - Luke Tidyman, Gareth Mackinnon,John Bruker,Jason Schweizer,Victor Mourinho,Gary Jeffery,George El Amal,Michael Quirk,Darren Shields,Louie Gorevski,Matt Spalding, Tyrone Ford and Mark Chaumont. The way we are going will have lots of money at the end of the year or i get multiple bottles of scotch.
Well done to Michael Quirk and Daryn Springett who clearly enjoyed there new handicap today but not Gareth Mackinnon who gets the wig at his 2nd game and with 13 points was one of the lowest ever but the record is 10 but Gary Jeffery who had the record at Brighton Lakes with 18 had another shocker with 17 will not be happy to know we have Brighton Lakes booked in for next year.
While i was at The Hunter Valley it didnt stop the pests causing havic Darren Shields texted wanting an investigation into handicaps. Shieldsy it isnt hard break 36pts and you lose shots back at single figures where you belong. The other pest Scotty McCulloch paid extra fines so he can bag me more and i wasnt even there. If anyone is going to beat those two for the Dog Award you will have to hurry up and piss me off really good.
When we talk Handbraking we always seem to be talking about a Smith this time it was Chris they must share the handbrake oil at home.
Bods Tour is only 7 months away and we are looking to see if anyone else wants to come as we have an ex foundation player wanting to come so we will expand to 20 if anyone interested please let me know to add you to our numbers.
Only had 1 player intersted in a new shirt we need 10 as a minimum order please let me know if interested.

The social club is based in Sydney and games take place at various courses around the Sydney suburbs.

Players from the last game get first preference but they still must RSVP as normal. All others still need to RSVP once the invite comes out. There are no verbals to the Dog I have a terrible memory.
